About OpenOffice.org explains:

OpenOffice.org 1.1.3
Copyright 2003 Sun Microsystems Inc.
This product has been created by Sun Microsystems Inc.

etc.

I believed that OO was not SUN but a OpenOffice community who build
OpenOffice.

Is there anybody out there who can explain this to me?

Sun bought StarOffice a few years ago. They still own that. They opened
the source of StarOffice not long after they bought it, and called it
OpenOffice. They incorporate OpenOffice advances in StarOffice along
with bells and whistles. I don't know the details, but I bet they are
still maintainers of the OpenOffice code.

That is why you still run "soffice" to start it. Note it's not "ooffice"
